July 22, 2020 – ChickTech has decided to put all in-person events on hold until further notice for the safety of our program participants, volunteers, and community members. In-person events at all ChickTech chapters (including high school workshops and ACT-W Conferences) will be held virtually for the remainder of 2020. Program directives surrounding in-person events in 2021 will be announced in the new year, taking CDC guidelines and recommendations into account.
May 13, 2020 – For the safety of our participants and community, we have decided to restructure our ACT-W Conferences for 2020. Rather than hosting regional in-person conferences, we will be combining conferences into one virtual event. We are excited to bring our regional communities together online on August 26-28, 2020 for our first ever virtual ACT-W Conference.
April 14, 2020 – ChickTech is continuing to work diligently to ensure the safety of our partners, ACT-W conference attendees, volunteers, and staff while continuing to provide a community of support for womxn and allies in technology.
After careful consideration, we feel it’s in the best interest of those participating to reschedule our upcoming ACT-W Conferences. The new dates are:
- ACT-W: Austin – Rescheduled for August 8, 2020
- ACT-W: Chicago – In process of rescheduling for early September
- ACT-W: National Rescheduled for August 21-22, 2020
- ACT-W: Seattle – Scheduled for September 19, 2020
April 6, 2020 – To continue supporting youth and adults in tech, we have transitioned all ChickTech: High School and ACT-W Meetup events to a virtual space.
